 Super Sonique Sweep For Kyscafter AW(B)   

Sweep was bred by Michael from our very own Tilly.  He was going to be homed with friends of Michael but situations change and they couldn't have him.  He ended up staying (in hind site it was ment to be )  The idea was that he could be another shooting dog, it turned out that he was gun shy.

Lara met Michael when Sweep was 6 months, he was a wild nutty excitable puppy.  He hasn't really changed but he is easier to live with.

They attended a fun dog show when he was a year old, Lara and Sweep had a go at the fun agility and they both enjoyed so much a few weeks later they joined Roseland DTC and started training. 

The decision was made as we believed that Sweep need a job to do as he was so hyper and inteligent that being a pet was not enough for him.

Since this day our lives have completely changed, we think for the better

We started training Sweep in November 03 at Roseland DTC.  The following May we started competing (may be a bit too soon), he found everything else much to interesting and didn't stay in the ring.  He would run around like a headless chicken and then go back to the car.  It was very irritating as he was so well behaved at training, it finally clicked in November 04 when he had a 4th and 2nd at Cornwall Agility Club Match.

2005 was a great year for Sweep he won out Elementary in May (the same show he started at in 2004).  He did really well during the summer gretting plenty of 2nds and other places in Starters.  He won out of Started in September at Cornwall Agility Club 2 day show.

We finished the year off with a bang, we went to Chippenham Agility Club the week after Cornwall.  Sweep got a 3rd in the ABC Qualifier out of over 200 dogs, this ment that he was going to the ABC Semi Final 06.

We had a good year in 2006 with plenty of places in Novice.  Sweep and Lara competed at the ABC Semi at Newton Heath and got a 12th, just missing out in qualifying for the final (top 10 go through).

Sweep qualified again for the semi in 2008, but due to handler error got 5 faults

Over the next year we hope to qualify Sweep again for the Semi (hopefully 3rd time lucky) and try and get in to Grade 5.

Fingers crossed we have many more years of competing with Sweep.
